  13. DiskTester tests disks to see if they are operating properly. It can test floppies, hard disks, removables, opticals, network volumes and in general, any disk that appears on the desktop.

  15. It is particularly valuable for testing Syquest cartridges, since they frequently have media reliability problems, particularly in dusty or dirty environments. We recommend that before using a Syquest cartridge, you reformat it, then let DiskTester run on it for three (3) passes.
